A playful printable to get your class in the mood for adventure!
Before every great trip comes the fun part — packing! ✈️
Packing List Bingo is a light and cheerful warm-up game designed to get your students imagining their travels and speaking English right from the start. It’s a perfect pre-adventure activity for any RPG PPT game — whether the destination is London, Paris, or the Mount Olympus.

🧭 Why teachers love it

This mini-game instantly puts your class in travel mode — it activates imagination, travel vocabulary, and natural English conversation. It’s also an easy way to introduce cultural elements visually:

the printable version features famous European landmarks, from Big Ben to the Eiffel Tower, to subtly build familiarity with iconic places students might soon “visit” in later adventures.

And yes — it’s cute! The branded printable connects visually with the Lesson Atelier universe, so every mini-game feels part of a bigger story.

🕹️ What you need

  • One printable bingo sheet (or simply have students draw a 3×3 grid on paper)
  • timer
  • destination prompt (e.g. “We’re going to London!”)

Optional: laminated versions can be reused for the whole travel season ✨

🎲 How to play

1. Set the scene:
Announce the trip destination and tell your students to imagine they’re packing for it.

2. Fill the grid (2 minutes):
Each student writes 9 items they’d bring — one per box.
Encourage them to be creative! It can be anything from passport to dragon repellent. 🐉

3. Play Bingo:

  • One student starts by reading an item aloud.
  • Everyone who also wrote that item crosses it out.
  • The first player to complete two line (vertical, horizontal, or diagonal) shouts “Bingo!” and wins!

💡 Tips & variations

  • 👥 Small classes (under 6): play individually.
  • 👩‍🏫 Larger classes: form groups of 3–4 students.
  • 📄 Reuse the back of the worksheet as a piece of paper for note-taking in the following adventure

🌟 Why this printable works

  • Visually connects to the RPG PPT travel theme
  • Creates excitement and world-building from the very first slide
  • Requires no prep beyond printing
  • Builds curiosity about real European landmarks
  • Gives students something tangible to hold and write on — a great anchor for immersion
