Badges are little celebrations of learning and classroom life. In our system, they’re not just pretty pictures — they’re memories turned into symbols of pride. A “Memory Badge” captures a special classroom moment and gives it a form your students (and you!) can look back on.

The best part? Anyone can create one. You don’t need to be a designer — all you need is a story or feeling you want to capture.

Step 1: Start with the Story

Every Memory Badge begins with a moment.

  • Maybe it’s something funny your class did.
  • Maybe it’s an act of kindness.
  • Or maybe it’s just a small but charming moment you don’t want to forget.

Write down the idea in one sentence — that’s all you need.

Example: “Grandma strolling the morning market with her umbrella — our Queen of the Morning Market.”

Step 2: Give it a Name

Badges work best with a clear, catchy title. Think of it like a nickname for the memory.

  • “Homework Hero”
  • “Silent Reading Champion”
  • “Queen of the Morning Market”

This title will be what students remember.

Step 3: Create the Image

Now it’s time to turn the story into a badge. You have options:

🖌️ Option A: DIY in Canva (fast & simple)

  1. Open Canva (free).
  2. Choose a circle template.
  3. Add simple clipart (a crown, a basket, an umbrella — whatever fits).
  4. Write the title.

🤖 Option B: Let AI Help (if design isn’t your strength)

  1. Write a short description of your idea.
  2. Paste it into an AI image tool (Canva’s text-to-image, Bing, or ChatGPT image tools).
  3. Save the result, crop it into a circle, and you’re ready.

👉 In my YouTube tutorial, I walk through both of these methods step-by-step, so if this part feels tricky, you can follow along with the demo.

Step 4: Don’t Worry About Perfection

The truth is, a badge doesn’t have to look perfect.

  • If you have time, make it polished.
  • If not, even a quick sketch from a student inside a circle counts as a badge.
  • What matters is the memory, not the artwork.

Step 5: Share It (Optional)

If you’d like, you can submit your badge to our community database so others can see your classroom story. Some badges will even be featured to inspire more teachers.

✨ That’s it! Your Memory Badge is ready.

Simple, personal, and full of meaning.
